Heroes Health Hope 5K: Running with new friends

Being a pediatric Occupational Therapist, I've always wanted to combine my love of running with helping others, and being able to push an athlete was the perfect match. Sadly's I've been a selfish runner over the  years and this year I'd learn to be a little selfless. Now that I've come to the point in my running  life where I have learned to get back to the sport, I was blessed to finally be able to run for Joseph Maley foundation in the Heroes Health Hope 5K this fall.

My kids were super excited to be volunteers for this race! Sadly, fall was truly here and Judie didn't last long in the cold!

I was so honored to run with Miana! Being a first grader just like my son, we had had tons to talk about! And she was a tough cookie being a frigid morning.

It was a short and sweet run through beautiful Eagle Creek Park in the fall! A perfect little warm down from Monumental. Hoping to run more races with this wonderful group!
